MALIN GROOP
Malin helps Nordic companies build robust brands that drive growth, from repositioning established corporations to setting up new ventures and creating new offerings. Her work spans strategic advisory, creative direction, and innovation.
She has collaborated in-depth with Marimekko, Paulig Group, Elisa, Huhtamaki and KONE, among others. Malin is well-travelled and has worked with different cultures throughout her career.
LENA BARNER-RASMUSSEN
Lena has nearly 25 years experience of helping companies and leaders make sense of who they are and where they are headed through storytelling.
She successfully led the Bonnier Group’s content agency arm in Finland for five years, overseeing digital communications transformations at several global companies and being responsible for internationally awarded content campaigns.
SUSANNA GRÖNBLOM
Sussi has led extensive brand, marketing, and communications projects in both client and agency roles. She has worked with Iittala, Lumene, L&T and Wärtsilä to name a few.
This experience has given her the ability to view things from diverse perspectives, ensuring that the results exceed expectations. She believes the key to achieve extraordinary results lies in seamless collaboration among talented individuals and teams.
A NOTE FROM FAUX PAS
Bonjour,
We could tell you that the idea for Faux Pas originated on the back of a napkin over a long lunch in Pigalle. But there was no napkin and we were far from Paris: rather, we were walking our dogs in the forests of Pirttimäki, 20 km outside Helsinki.
Nearly 20 years ago we wrote the business plan for a company that, by the way, today has +500 employees in 4 countries. Soon after, Lena switched to journalism and eventually content marketing, while Malin continued her career building world-renowned brands.
The croissants in the Pirttimäki café were so and so, but we were excited to realise we still had that same thing in common: impatiently curious minds.
So we asked ourselves: what if we take what we have learned from our respective careers and put it to good use in a new kind of consultancy? One that works the way we like and with the kind of work we like to do? One that resonates with what we started to see our clients want: a partner who helps them connect the dots, find and act on opportunities, hands-on with a strategic, unpretentious mindset.
We believe that to drive progress in a world fraught with uncertainty, you need to know who you are, what you stand for and what you are here to do. Only then can you find a clear direction. Companies with a strong sense of self are robust and do not waver in times of turbulence.
Roughly two years later, we have worked with companies from biotechnology platforms and investment businesses to listed companies in key industries like forestry and food. In October 2023, Sussi joined our team, bringing her experiences from working for two decades in strategic brand & marketing roles for some of the most iconic Nordic brands.
She shares our belief that if you do not know who you are, it’s difficult to find a direction forward. In a hazy world, robust wins.

To us, Faux Pas represents authenticity and humanity with everything it entails; excitement, disappointment, mistakes and love ♥️. And definitely fewer spreadsheets.
